Uncertain Maryland Banking Powers Clarified by Law Firm Opinion
A Baltimore law firm issues guidance on whether Maryland national banks may act as trustee administrator executor and registrar of stocks and bonds under the Federal Banking Act without violating state or local law. The opinion notes the question is novel and that courts may disagree but finds no current Maryland law forbidding such powers, while warning court action could arise in cases requiring letters of administration or court appointments.

Three horses were rescued, and several farm implements burned, with the cause undetermined though possibly a workmen's match.
