Health department starts new AIDS clinic in Frederick
AIDS Coordinator Trisha Grove unveiled a seropositive clinic funded by a $60,742 federal grant to serve Frederick County and northern Montgomery County residents. The clinic, opening Sept. 30 at 350 Montevue Lane, will run monthly March, offering confidential exams, referrals, and limited services for those with HIV or early AIDS symptoms. Six appointments were booked for the first day. The Lions Club meeting also saw a $500 United Way donation announced.
