Ten Thousand Dollar Suit Against Doll Estate in Court
In the circuit court this afternoon Miss Rebecca Wilcoxon sought $10,500 from the estate of the late Samuel Doll for services to the deceased that were not compensated during his lifetime and not provided for in his will. The court ruled the father not liable for a minor child’s tort unless the act occurred while the parent was present. The verdict favored the defendants in the related Gance case, which involved a stone thrown by a son that shattered a barber shop plate glass. Other matters included removal of Forrest M. Reightler’s case to Washington county court for alleged alienation of affection and a $100 verdict for Ralph Culler and H. W. Wise in a motor company case.
