Frederick county voted on prohibition in a special election to repeal the Twenty first Amendment. The county majority for wet was 2 791 with 6 339 in favor of repeal and 1 348 against. Frederick city produced a 2 397 to 1 004 wet majority while the rest of the county favored repeal by 2 398 to 3 942. turnout exceeded one third of registered voters, with 9 887 ballots cast from 27 720 registered.
