Gibson Jeered in New York

In Liberty Street crowds mobbed Gibson as he left his office amid a murder case involving an Austrian woman and a shangling incident on Greenwood Lake. He spoke to his wife by phone, urging her to be brave and promising he would come out all right as officers and Pinkerton men surrounded him.

Allen to Die Now at Electric Chair in Virginia

Floyd Allen leader of the Allen clan and his son will be executed in the electric chair in Richmond on November 22 for involvement in a March 1 death in Carroll County. Commonwealth’s Attorney William Feller and Sheriff Lewis Webb were also implicated. Foster Claude Allen was convicted of hiring the attorney and the sheriff for the same crime.

Receivers Appointed for United States Motor Co in Bankruptcy

Receivers W Ho Strong and Robert Walker were named by Judge Hough in a federal insolvency case filed by Brown & Sharp Manufacturing. The holding company and five subsidiaries face $12.27 million in liabilities with plans for reorganization while operations continue. Fight with knives for girl ends in serious injuries

In Pa, Sept 13 two men John Wall and Thomas Huran fought over a girl. They were badly injured by multiple stab wounds and taken to a hospital. The dispute began when Wall reached the girl’s home and Huran arrived later, leading to a prolonged knife attack on a lonely road. Passersby later found them exhausted.

City pays a dividend to Fargo taxpayers next March
