Gordon to lead Frederick County 250th celebrations

Health department urges second measles shot for children

Hampstead state police find hoax device after crash

Maryland state police and fire marshal officials described a plastic hoax device found after Robert Smith crashed a 1987 Geo Metro on Littlestown Pike. Smith was flown to shock trauma. deputy chief Al Ward said officials still seek who owned the device and why. A passenger, Howard Bull Jr., was not charged. Smith’s condition was listed as unknown. Earlier, a separate Frederick County crash left 17 year old Jason Verschage injured after hitting a utility pole on Hollow Road.
