Growth policy blamed for Montgomery gridlock says Dalrymple

Charles R. Dalrymple, an attorney for developers, charged at a Montgomery County Press Association meeting that the county annual growth policy halts Germantown Gaithersburg Oley North Bethesda and eastern areas. He blamed rising home prices on moratoriums and impact fees saying roads and schools were not funded due to fear of taxes and overvalued bond ratings. He cited unbuilt 1960s expressways as a remedy and urged policy changes to relieve traffic and housing costs.

Prospects fade for early Reichs Ford Road landfill opening

Frederick officials pushed for six city trash trucks to enter the landfill at 4 a.m. to fit a new collection schedule. State hearing examiner and Secretary Adele Wilczak upheld the ruling that the landfill cannot open early.
