Political parties differ in purpose says Eisenhower
In a Denver talk to 48 Republican state chairmen, President Eisenhower urged Republicans to pursue a common cause guiding government to aid those unable to help themselves while not intruding on individual rights. He argued both parties claim free enterprise but rely on government supports, urging precise, public explanations of their differences to foreigners. A church group anniversary followed, noting 15 years of service and pins presented to long-time members.
