Quinn Chapel AME Bicentennial Celebration Details
Quinn Chapel AME marks 200 years with monthly activities led by Roger Wilmer chairing the anniversary committee. Key events include homecoming services at 7:45 and 11 am and the dedication of the Quinn Chapel Christian Center on East Fourth Street at 5 pm. The Rev Goodwin delivers the keynote as Elder Douglas’s letter recalls the church’s Civil War era uses, including a hospital for Battle of Monocacy wounded and early schooling. Through year end plans feature Stewards’ recognition in October, Women’s Day in November, and a Christmas play with Watch Night Service in December.
