Right to Farm Ordinance Drawn Up For Walkersville Area
Frederick County plans a right to farm ordinance creating an Agricultural Reconciliation Committee to settle disputes between farmers and residents in Walkersville and other municipalities. Critics warn it may invite complaints and favor neighbors over farmers, while supporters cite protecting agriculture as a major industry. The measure awaits a county commissioners public hearing as COG prioritizes Md 85 improvements and reviews I-270/08.15 study and new wet soils ordinance.
