Two barns south of Buckeys town and near Laytons ville were destroyed by flames last night, with estimated losses totaling 85 000. At Buckeystown the Stigler farm barn burned as August E Stigler and his family arrived for a weekend. three animals and a mare were saved and several new farm items were lost. The Laytonsville barn owned by Mc Kendree Fulks burned, with about 150 tons of hay and 50 tons of straw destroyed along with equipment. firemen said matches used by visiting children sparked the blaze. Model Plane Races Set At Local Airport
Model airplane enthusiasts from seven states will attend the Maryland Model Airplane Meet on Sept 18 at Frederick Municipal Airport.
