New Oil Thins As It Becomes Colder
Chicago September 10 New motor oils that thin when cold and thicken when hot were announced by the American Chemical Society. Described by Dov rats H. Co Evans and D W Young of Stance Distributors Inc they are an offshoot of synthetic rubber and new plastics from the war. The oils rely on rubbery particles to regulate viscosity and may improve starting and reduce oil consumption by sealing piston rings. Later in the text a separate note mentions a Truth Seeker's Class picnic at Calgary Methodist church with 52 attendees and a member leaving for Kansas City to attend a National College for Christian.
