Fatal accident at auto race destroys spectator at track
In Detroit at the Grosse Pointe track a racing car burst a front tire at velocity near 60 mph, throwing Barney Oldfield's car into the fence and fatally injuring spectator Frank Shearer who died en route to hospital.
