Brothers Held for Murder in Allentown Case
John and William Mack two farmhands near Allentown are detained on suspicion of murdering J Harold Lichtenwalner after his body was found in a quarry. Lichtenwalner’s watch and chain were pawned and traced to John Mack who confessed pawning them. William later confessed to taking the items claiming they were found on the victim. Police plan to prove the brothers killed the bookkeeper, last seen August 25 leaving Allentown Steamboat and Power Co. premises.
