Three Die In Fire Aboard Navy Battleship North Dakota
Sept 9 report says three coal passers died and several injured in a fire aboard the battleship North Dakota during a test of the oil fuel system in the fireroom at Hampton Roads. Engineers suspect oil fuel pipe leakage sparked by a boiler. Investigators will determine exact cause.

Lancaster, Sept. 49. Axarches by the Laheauier County Historical Society at the Brick Mennonite meeting house marked the 200th anniversary of settlement.
