Six Mount Airy firefighters hurt in truck wreck

Renner Fire Investigator Dies In Maryland
Former fire investigator Robert L. Renner, 49, of New Midway, collapsed at home Saturday and died at Frederick Memorial Hospital. A funeral service was set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Midway Volunteer Fire Company with firefighters from across the state attending. Renner served in Montgomery County and was noted for work with juveniles and as an instructor for the Maryland Fire Rescue Institute. His colleagues recalled his dedication and sharp investigative skill.
