Tray Agriculture experiment promises high yields with tanks
Dr Harrold leads tray agriculture trials at Lake Shenarock New York showing 10 pounds per plant and 200 tons per acre in tanks versus 6 tons in fields. The method uses cypress tanks filled with solution, no soil, minimal chemicals, and alerts on sprays for mites and rain dilution. It could cut costs and bring ripe tomatoes to market earlier, with year round production blending Florida winter and northern summer sites.
