Lincoln school opens after fire repairs in 1958

Twenty years ago on September 7 1958 Lincoln elementary began classes after a spring fire damaged rooms. William T Howard Sr of Frederick was announced as supervisor for the 1959 Census of Agriculture test in Frederick County. Frederick County All Star players beat Ijamsville 3 in an exhibition as an Ijamsville pitcher earned the win. Dick Zimmerman limited his usual teammates to three runs, struck out eight and issued one walk.
