Potter Not Surprised by News of State Aid Cuts
Montgomery County Executive Neal Potter said he was not surprised by the governor’s announcement that state aid will be cut by 150 million dollars. He noted the county has a 60 million dollar surplus to rely on and expects a fair distribution of the reductions while pledging to push for an equitable solution in Annapolis. He emphasized the cuts are a reasonable outcome and questioned how all municipalities will absorb them.
