Bed Race Winners Highlight Frederick Fairgrounds Event
Hundreds of Frederick Countians attended the first annual bed race and bicycle beer race at the Frederick Fairgrounds on Sunday August 29. Winning bed race teams included Marston's Capitol Milk and Capitol Milk with multiple captains. Debbie Burrier led the women's team to first place. Cramer’s Floor Covering sponsored the bicycle beer race winner David Cramer with Michael Reed and Clayton Daing Jr. Also featured were performances by the Butterfly Showcase Band Midnight Express and Zyon Sky, plus Maryland Army National Guard demonstrations. Tickets totaled about 3725 dollars.
