Budget Cuts in Frederick County Schools Discussed
County officials cut about 15000 from the Frederick County school budget with 6000 from elementary salaries and reductions in high school funding. Transportation money was eliminated, and the county will likely miss state equalization funds. Superintendent G Livya Palmer urged constructive criticism and patron-teacher associations to boost local school interest. Officers for next year were elected at the Teachers Association meeting.
