County task force urges open leasing of surplus schools
A Montgomery County task force backed by Charlies Gilchrist urged ending private school favoritism in surplus school disposals. It proposed active outreach to public and non public agencies, joint use plans, and an interagency panel to review 13 future closures while weighing community impact and policy goals. A safety incident in Maryland killed one person and injured three when a liquified animal fat truck struck a car near White Marsh.
