4-H Judgment Day at Timonium Maryland State Fair
Frederick County led in three of four divisions at Timonium for 4-H dairy and livestock judging. In junior dairy judging, Frederick County placed first with ten top ten scorers. Dennis Trout topped high with 465 points, Michael Garst second at 463, Rodney Matte seventh at 437. Senior division results showed Frederick County fifth in dairy judging with Dave Dudrow third in residuals and a team score of 1868. Howard County led the team standings, with Montgomery third and Carroll ninth. In senior livestock judging, Frederick County first with 1586. Albert DeLauder and Dale Hevner led individuals, Wayne Gaver eighth. Junior livestock judging also favored Frederick County first with 1074 points. Becky Kielhitz and Fred Lechleder tied for first in individuals. Totus will be Grand Day and Ladies Day at the fair with free admission for ladies until 4 pm.
