Board of education shifts CIP funding direction in Linganore project

The Frederick County Board of Education reversed a prior Capital Improvements Program decision on Linganore High School funding and voted to seek full details of the FY 1985 budget. Superintendent Stuart Berger cited community needs and noted phased funding would not work. The board also approved Brunswick Middle School planning funding and moved a Catoctin High track renovation later in the budget, amid parent concerns over project prioritization. The five top CIP priorities include Linganore High School, New Midway Elementary, Brunswick Middle School planning, Walkersville Middle renovations, and Rock Creek feasibility study.
