Three-Year-Old Rescued From Abandoned Well in Fremont
A 3-year-old asthma patient fell 25 feet into an abandoned dry well in Fremont and was rescued after three hours. Police officer Duayne Watson pulled Jerry Bettencourt to safety with ropes as more than 100 spectators watched. He was treated at Washington Township Hospital and listed in good condition.
