Weighed and Found Wanting In The Balances Sermon
A preacher urges immediate moral weighing of character not creed, as God weighs deeds versus beliefs. He dramatizes scales testing clergy, lay Christians, and wealth, concluding that true salvation rests on godliness, not orthodoxy, and warns that many are weighed and found wanting.
Weighed in the Balances and the Vision of Judgment
A sermon-like piece urges personal salvation through Christ. It describes weighing souls in God’s scales, with Jesus placing his scarred feet on the Christian side to secure pardon. The reader is urged to accept Christ now, using dramatic biblical imagery and an extended analogy of redemption. It closes by praising Acker's Blood Elixir and a local druggist.
