Fallout shelter plan revived for Baltimore Civic Center
Acting Mayor Philip H. Goodman says Baltimore’s proposed Civic Center should include an underground fallout shelter. Plans for the arena and convention center previously dropped the shelter due to cost but interest has revived. He seeks federal and state aid, noting a grant of 946,668 was received for Rockinghorse Elementary School in Rockville to aid defense preparations.
