Bank President Hipple Linked to Embarrassment and Death
Philadelphia report ties Frank K Hipple president of the Institute to securities losses at the defunct Real Estate Trust. Receiver Earle says Hipple hypothecated 65000 in paper securing 50000 never returned, and that 5 million loaned to Adult Sexual was a personal transaction. Coroner King says Hipple died by his own pistol, and sought to suppress facts to prevent a bank run.
