Ghosts Haunt Frederick County Sites Across Hood College to Fort Detrick
Legends recounted by Mrs. Alyce T. Weinberg of Braddock Heights describe spirits roaming Frederick, Rose Hill, Burkittsville and Urbana. Hood College and Fort Detrick rumors include Brodbeck Hall echoes, a self moving elevator, and college youths reporting chills and apparitions. WWII GIs at Camp Detrick reportedly saw UFOs or ghosts. A 1978 family endured nightly footsteps and red lights linked to a prior train death before relocation. A college course on simple legal problems debuts in Manhattan.
