BRITISH ATTITUDE ON POSTWAR EXPORT TRADE
London reports G M Garro-Jones, parliamentary secretary for the Ministry of Production, warned against letting the United States shape postwar export trade. He contrasted British caution with Allies and noted a need to resist being drawn into provocation by the realm. In Aberdeen he commented on Britain’s fear of seeming to oppose allies. A Washington report also notes Dr Bernard Notes, obstetrician, was struck on the head by a .32 caliber bullet while riding in Prince Georges County, Md. The bullet likely spent itself and may have been fired in target practice. Rex Case aided Notes to a hospital where the bullet was removed. In Westminster, a car accident near Charles Carroll High School injured William A. Bond and Arthur Hurtt.
