He said candidates and liquor leaders promising beer for pallets mislead the public and that beer would be unprofitable as a revenue measure. It would not promote temperance or boost employment or help other businesses.
Baltimore October 30 Tomorrow is the final day that Maryland truckers transporting freight for compensation may enter Pennsylvania without registering with the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue. Any truck with more than 15 trips into Pennsylvania since October 15 faces entry prohibition without Pennsylvania tags. The reciprocal agreements between Maryland and Pennsylvania will terminate, barring trucks from entering Maryland without proper tags.
