Walkersville community show features largest horse parade
The Walkersville day celebration drew 163 horses in morning and afternoon processions, with 78 riders, 10 champions from Chestnut Farm and Oyster string, plus nine county horses. A vivid church and merchant floats display followed the parade, ending with a grand mask carnival and a soldier boy tribute. Judge Worthington praised the event and local veterans in a closing address.
