Mrs Geo Bear died Saturday at West Sixth street and was buried with Rev Osborne Ingle officiating. T Schrouder was the undertaker.

Carleton’s stolen horse found in his possession after crossing into Pennsylvania. James Shield connected to the theft was linked to violence. The penalty ranges from eighteen months to ten years in prison.
Telegram from Wheeling reports Miss Nannie J. Wells, daughter of Isaac Henderson, confronted Alexander Brown at her father’s Pleasants home gate. Henderson warned Brown away with a rifle, Brown refused, Henderson fired but Nannie stepped in to shield him and was struck in the left shoulder. Brown now seeks marriage.
