Blacks Protest City Police Raid At Rainbow Lounge

Demonstrators marched to Frederick City Police Station protesting an Oct. 21 curfew raid on the Rainbow Hunan Restaurant and Lounge. About 14 participants organized by the Junta of Militant Organizations urged a downtown boycott and accused police of brutality against 28 juveniles nabbed for curfew violations.

Howard Co. man killed in accident on U. S. 15

An elderly Howard County man, Richard Schneider, 84, of Ellicott City, died after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 15 near Thurmont. The crash involved his car and a Toyota pickup driven by Stacy Seiss, 20, of Thurmont, who was turning onto U.S. 15 when the collision occurred. Seiss and the younger Schneider, 38, were hospitalized and the incident is investigated by the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.
