The Thurmont Riding Club held the last 1981 show on Sept 13 at Roddy Road grounds. The event added four new costume classes and many English divisions, drawing riders beyond the club. Club members earlier benefited disabled children with pony rides at Camp Greentop, funding four division trophies and honoring winners such as Beverly Grubbs Whispering Pines, Betth Hughes Foxs, Shannon Grimes THF Apache Warrior, and Ed Whips Dia mond.
