Grant Sought for Butterfly Lane Water Sewer Extensions
Frederick County commissioners filed for a 3.175 million Community Development Block Grant to extend water and sewer lines on Butterfly Lane for moderate income residents. 20 of 50 area families qualify for grant aid. non qualifying homeowners face 7397 hookup and construction costs plus plumbing to seal old wells. A companion loan program is available to all residents. Construction can commence next spring and finish by 1994 fall, with other business funding Women’s History Month reception receives 1200 after budget approval and concerns raised about recurring commission funding requests.
