Man Found Shot Dead In School Parking Lot

Frederick City police report a 30 year old man identified as David Richard Allen was found shot to death in a car in the Elm Street Elementary School parking lot Sunday afternoon. Autopsy results pending to establish time of death. Police seek information from the public.

Jail Break Foiled by Frederick Police in Escape Attempt

Frederick City Police arrested two prisoners Johnny Mack Brown and Jerry Clemmons minutes after they overpowered a corrections officer and fled from the Frederick County Jail at 11 15 a m Sunday. Sheriff Donald Barnes credited officers for quick action and no injuries were reported.

Middle School Clarification Sought On IAC Letter

Superintendent John L. Carnachan Jr said there is definitely no letter from the Inter Agency Committee regarding the proposed East County middle school.
