Pomona Grange Pushed for Stricter Movie Censorship
The Pomona Grange of Frederick County at a Saturday meeting favored stronger film censorship in the state and appointed a committee to study the issue. Resolutions urged openness of county and municipal meetings to the public and were to be sent to representatives bound for Annapolis in 1958.

Stop sign violation in Frederick crash injures two
State Police report an intersection collision at Gas House Pike and McKaig Road causing about 1900 in damage and minor injuries to two drivers. Gras sop Leroy Rippeon, 35, was charged with failure to obey a stop sign and held on 51.45 collateral. Delmar Lee Speaks and Rippeon were treated and released from Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Final Contenders For Grange Prize Announced
Final contenders for the $10,000 first prize in the 21st annual National Grange community service contest were announced. The three finalists listed are North Sewickley Grange Beaver Falls Pennsylvania Riverside Grange Buffalo Gap South Dakota and Turtle Grange Clinton Wisconsin. A five member committee reviewed nine thousand miles of travel and inspected achievements after ten state winners were named finalists from four thousand five hundred seventeen local Granges. The top three will be ranked and fourth and fifth place announced November 38 during the National Grange session.
