Dr. and Mrs. F P D Hoover of Waynesboro Pa were traveling to Hood College when their car skidded on a wet shoulder near Lewistown and overturned striking a telephone pole. They suffered minor lacerations and a fractured arm respectively, aided by Calvin S Lohr and Albert S Gernand of Thurmont and taken to Frederick City Hospital.
Carroll County voters face a liquor referendum on primary election day about allowing the sale of wine and distilled spirits under Class A licenses.
