A Virginia man, Anthony Zaragoza of Alexandria, was arrested on cocaine possession after a routine traffic stop on I-70 near Clear Spring. Trooper Rick Bachtell observed a white powdery substance on the license and field tests confirmed cocaine. He was released on bail.

Staff reports say Phillip Tousignaut a 32 year old Freder ick resident was hurt Monday night in a two vehicle collision on Md 194 near Walkersville. He was treated and released at Washington County Hospital after being flown there by state police helicopter.
