War Veterans Name Wrightson For Honor
Baltimore notes that Earl Wrightson, baritone and former Frederick minister, is chosen as the first recipient of the Catholic War Veterans Oscar for 1950. Wrightson rose from early life in Frederick to study in Baltimore and New York, aided by connections with Robert Weede and Walter Damrosch, leading to major broadcasting and concert opportunities.
