Middle Conference Advances Prohibition Support In Maryland Synod
The Middle Conference of the Maryland Synod United Lutheran church gathered at Zion Lutheran in Middletown to adopt unanimous resolutions denouncing gambling and bootlegging and urging strict enforcement of the Eighteenth Amendment. They pledge members to abide by laws, promote public opinion in favor of law enforcement, and distribute the resolutions to pastors for church-wide reading. The meeting, led by Rev. Ainsworth and others, also noted memorials and future site planning for Utica and Lewistown nearby locations.
