PG youths to train under union journeymen in $225000 program
About 40 Prince Georges County youths will receive classroom and on site labor training in carpentry sheet metal plumbing and electrical work. The 24 week program funded by a governor youth task force grant partners with the Washington Area Construction and Building Trades Council and provides hands on work renovating nine houses for sale through HUD.
