The Francis Scott Key District Boy Scouts in Frederick County extend Cub Scout efforts to Rock Creek Center with local sponsorships. Explorer posts arise under the Frederick City Police and United Fire Company, boosting total units past 60. Peak youth membership hit 2100 in 1975 with aims for 2200 in 1976. The district sent an expedition to Philmont with 70+ boys led by Stup and Miller, plus staff. Activities include Cub Olympics at FCC, swimming at Hood College, and numerous camporees.
