County Intervenors Discuss New Appeal Over Power Line Route

The Frederick County Intervenors voiced disappointment with Judge Levine's ruling on the 11 mile southern Frederick County power line route proposed by Baltimore Gas and Electric Co and Potomac Edison Co. They warn of a possible appeal to the Maryland Court of Appeals within 30 days, citing concerns over aesthetics, seismic area near Rock Creek, and an alternative northern route. They argue the PSC may modify routes without new hearings and challenge the ruling on planning commission conflicts of interest and preapproval land purchases. The group will decide on further steps after confirming all members.
