Extortion Plot Arrests in New York Series Case
A trio including Dale Neiaich, 24, of Yonkers was nabbed after a Luckenbach scuffle in which Neiaich grabbed a package believed to hold money. Accused are Andrel Stolzberg, 27, and Howard Vey, 32, both from New York, charged with attempted extortion and blackmail. Stolzberg deemed the mastermind. Neiaich and Stolzberg are war veterans. Vey reportedly failed a physical exam.

Extortion Plot Foiled In New York Heist Scheme
Three men were arrested in New York for a plot to extort 100000 from Edgar F. Luckenbach Jr. The letter demanded 200000 for veterans in distress and used fake American Veterans Service letterheads. Police said one suspect possessed clippings about wealthy individuals and planned to repeat the scheme in Florida and Hollywood.

Hagerstown Mummers Parade Set for November First
The Hagerstown Hallovfe en parade led by a 90 piece University of Maryland band will occur November 1 two days before Frederick witches night. The Alsatia Club sponsors will award about $2,500 in prizes and the overall cost is written at $5,000. Floats vie for top money topped by $225 first prize and $1,145 for music division competition among bands and drums. Five float prizes total $625, comic floats weak $23 total with $15 first and $10 second. Marching groups over 40 will share $615 across six prizes and regalia clad lodges pay $50 and $35, with other payouts.
