Frederick Fair Grand Exhibition Draws 30 000
The Frederick County Agricultural Society closed its 60th annual fair with a record attendance, heavy gate and grandstand receipts, and strong finances. A warm October day drew crowds of about 10 000 by noon, with estimates of higher totals later. Horse races, motorcycle events, cattle shows, and an exhibit by the Tuberculosis Association highlighted the final day as officials praised the fair’s success and the era of favorable weather.
