Shipping board names five of shipping commission group
A secretive panel named five nominees for the new Shipping Board. Martin J. Gillen, Theodore Marburg and others from Wisconsin and Baltimore are among the nominees. Only four may be from one party, two Republicans to balance. Salaries cap at $12,000 annual and all-time time commitments are required. The board must include members from Atlantic and Pacific coasts, Gulf and Interior regions. One Pacific coast and one Interior seat remain to be filled.
