Montgomery County SAS Day Promotes Unity Amid Rising Hate Incidents
MontCo prepares for the third annual Sensitivity Awareness Symposium on Nov 25 at the Rockville Campus Montgomery College. The day includes workplace programs, school discussions on prejudice, and community groups, culminating in an 7:30 p.m. evening program at the Fine Arts Center. SAS Day aims to unite residents and support county efforts to curb religious and ethnic intimidation as hate and violence incidents rise, with speakers from WAACP, B'Nai B'rith, and various community groups plus performances by Montgomery Blair Jazz Band, Hebrew Academy choir, and the American Indian Center dance group.
