A consultant hired for Maryland regulators found Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. pays markedly more for coal and oil than Maryland peers over a 13 month period starting July 1977. The report says BG&E paid 90 percent more for coal and 8 percent more for one oil type and 4 percent more for another, noting transportation costs are not included.
